Overview of the Mandalay Bay Pools: Hours, Cost, & Limits
The opening hours vary from pool to pool. Most pools are seasonal, and October to March is what is considered the Mandalay Bay pool’s off-season. However, keep in mind that there are some pools (specifically heated pools) that are open during the winter.
Wave pool, lazy river, and the beach are open only from Friday through Sunday during the winter. That is starting from 9 am to 5 pm. The East Lagoon and Delano Beach Club are open from Monday through Thursday during the winter (9 am to 5 pm). Moorea Beach Club is currently not being opened during the winter.
It is also important to note that there is a height limit. Only persons above 48″ are allowed into the pool. For safety reasons, the wave pool can get high enough to cause some drowning risks. The good news is that there is no age or height limit restrictions for anyone wanting to dive into the lazy river.
However, there is a catch, kids under the age of 13 have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Non-hotel guests are allowed into the pool upon renting a cabana so long as it is between Monday and Thursday. The pool is only accessible to hotel guests during the weekend but is complimentary to registered hotel guests every day of the week. Non-guests can also get into the pool area by purchasing a pool pass.
Adult passes start at $20, but children pay less at a discounted price. It is important to note that the price varies for Moorea Beach Club and Daylight Beach Club.
There are lockers available to lock your personal belongings. Mandalay Bay charges the guests $20 per day. Keep in mind that you will get charged $10 for the key deposit in case you pay through cash.

In case you prefer privacy, opt for the Pavilion, a perfect private section above the main floor with a private pool and maximum occupancy of ten guests.
Moorea Beach Club is open from Monday to Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.
2. Lazy River
There are only three lazy rivers in Las Vegas. One is located at the MGM Grand, surrounded by dozens of lanky palm trees, another at Tahiti Village, which features four waterfalls & seasonal heating, and the last one is the lazy river at Mandalay Bay. There used to be a lazy river at Park MGM, but it was closed when the management changed the resort’s name from Monte Carlo.
Mandalay Bay lazy river spans a quarter of a mile through various stretches of the pool area. Guests can get into their inner tubes or purchase ones from the pool complex and take the best relaxing ride of their life. You are not permitted to carry an inner tube that is more than 48 inches. You can choose to book a cabana to enjoy the flowing water and heaps of guests riding through.

3. Wave Pool
Perhaps the most impressive feature of Mandalay Bay is its huge wave pool. The pool is so big that they have a height restriction of 48″ to protect children from getting drowned in the massive sea of water.
That is not the only restriction, as inner tubes are also not allowed in this pool. Moreover, you are not allowed to sit or stand on the shore, and the lifeguards will be quick to tell you to move.
It is a magnificent piece of structure that you will not get to see in many places. It has 1.6 million gallons of water, and the waves are pushed as high as 6 to 8 feet. These are excellent heights for an experienced suffer and quite fun for the novice surfer and boogie boarders. Douglas Murphy designed the pool.
4. East and West Lagoon
The east lagoon is secluded for reserved seating alone whereas there are rental cabanas at the west lagoon. The part between these two lagoons is filled with four lagoon gazebos which are ideal for those looking for some personal space without having to let go of the excitement.
Lagoon gazebos have a maximum occupancy of six guests in their 100 square feet space. There is a TV, together with two lazy river inner tubes, a safe, table, chairs, lounge chairs, ceiling fan, chaise lounge chairs outside the gazebo, and a cabana host to serve the gazebo for the entire day.
5. Daylight Beach Club
Daylight Beach Club covers 50,000 square feet of space and comes with one main pool and private pools. This is where celebrities and top DJs come to grace the Nevada party people with their presence. It is an adult-only affair so make sure you leave your kids behind.
This premier Las Vegas day club has an entry fee starting at $30 for men and $20 for the ladies. There is also a cover charge that can vary based on holidays and special events.

The Delano Beach Club is open to non-guests when they pay for the cabanas between Monday and Thursday. Pool access is restricted to guests only during the weekend.
Delano Beach Club offers a lively atmosphere in an exclusive pool with a submerged chess board, chaise lounges, and signature cocktails. There also sandwiches like the pesto chicken sandwich with grilled chicken breast with roasted red pepper, brioche bun, pesto, and provolone cheese.
Cabanas come in different styles, shapes, and experiences. They are located in different sections, which makes their prices distinct. There are cabanas at the beach, a wave pool by the pools, Lagoon, and the Lazy River.
- Beach Cabanas – These are on the 2,700-ton surface of scorching sand. Each of them features a fridge with drinks, a ceiling fan to cool the temperature, and a single 46” LCD flat-screen TV.
