Overview of the Mandalay Bay Pools: Hours, Cost, & Limits

The opening hours vary from pool to pool. Most pools are seasonal, and October to March is what is considered the Mandalay Bay pool’s off-season. However, keep in mind that there are some pools (specifically heated pools) that are open during the winter.
Wave pool, lazy river, and the beach are open only from Friday through Sunday during the winter. That is starting from 9 am to 5 pm. The East Lagoon and Delano Beach Club are open from Monday through Thursday during the winter (9 am to 5 pm). Moorea Beach Club is currently not being opened during the winter.
It is also important to note that there is a height limit. Only persons above 48″ are allowed into the pool. For safety reasons, the wave pool can get high enough to cause some drowning risks. The good news is that there is no age or height limit restrictions for anyone wanting to dive into the lazy river.
However, there is a catch, kids under the age of 13 have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Non-hotel guests are allowed into the pool upon renting a cabana so long as it is between Monday and Thursday. The pool is only accessible to hotel guests during the weekend but is complimentary to registered hotel guests every day of the week. Non-guests can also get into the pool area by purchasing a pool pass.
Adult passes start at $20, but children pay less at a discounted price. It is important to note that the price varies for Moorea Beach Club and Daylight Beach Club.
There are lockers available to lock your personal belongings. Mandalay Bay charges the guests $20 per day. Keep in mind that you will get charged $10 for the key deposit in case you pay through cash.

2. Lazy River

There are only three lazy rivers in Las Vegas. One is located at the MGM Grand, surrounded by dozens of lanky palm trees, another at Tahiti Village, which features four waterfalls & seasonal heating, and the last one is the lazy river at Mandalay Bay. There used to be a lazy river at Park MGM, but it was closed when the management changed the resort’s name from Monte Carlo.
Mandalay Bay lazy river spans a quarter of a mile through various stretches of the pool area. Guests can get into their inner tubes or purchase ones from the pool complex and take the best relaxing ride of their life. You are not permitted to carry an inner tube that is more than 48 inches. You can choose to book a cabana to enjoy the flowing water and heaps of guests riding through.

It is a magnificent piece of structure that you will not get to see in many places. It has 1.6 million gallons of water, and the waves are pushed as high as 6 to 8 feet. These are excellent heights for an experienced suffer and quite fun for the novice surfer and boogie boarders. Douglas Murphy designed the pool.
